New Iberia, Louisiana: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Shop Hand to support daily shop operations, general labor, light deliveries, equipment maintenance, and seasonal workload demands. The ideal candidate will have agricultural, farm hand, or farm helper experience and understand the changing demands of seasonal operations. This individual should be dependable, proactive, mechanically inclined, and able to identify productive tasks during downtime. Candidates should live within approximately 30 minutes of the New Iberia shop due to on-call requirements.

Essential Duties:

• Perform general shop labor and assist with day-to-day operations.

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.

• Disconnect hoses from pumps and properly clean hoses, pumps, and related equipment.

• Assist with maintaining sprayers, farm equipment, and other shop equipment.

• Perform general preventative maintenance and identify maintenance needs throughout the shop.

• Remain proactive during downtime by identifying and completing necessary cleaning, maintenance, and organizational tasks.

• Make light deliveries using a company pickup truck as needed.

• Assist with transporting farm equipment using a basic trailer when qualified and needed.

• Adapt to seasonal workload changes, including increased hours during peak periods.

• Complete assigned tasks independently, safely, and in a timely manner.

• Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required PPE.

Requirements/Skills:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

• Agricultural, farm hand, farm helper, or similar hands-on experience strongly preferred.

• Forklift operation experience preferred.

• Mechanically inclined with basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and general maintenance.

• Experience driving a pickup truck and the ability to safely tow a basic trailer is a plus.

• Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently without constant supervision.

• Strong work ethic and willingness to find productive tasks during slower periods.

• Ability to understand and adapt to seasonal changes in workload and scheduling.

• Must be willing to work extended hours, some Saturdays, and be on call as needed.

• Candidates should reside within approximately 30 minutes of the New Iberia shop to meet on-call needs.

• Must be able to successfully complete required background screening and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment, tools, hoses, and materials as needed.

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Ability to bend, stoop, stand, walk, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.

• Ability to safely perform general maintenance and equipment-cleaning duties.

• Must wear required PPE, including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hard hat, and gloves.
